Team India was a favorite in the Champions Trophy in England and Wales. People were hoping that England and India would compete in the finals, but the Pakistan cricket team reached the finals, surprising everyone under the leadership of Sarfraz Ahmed. However, Pakistan had lost their first match to India badly, but in the final, Pakistan defeated India by 180 runs to win the Champions Trophy. While talking about Champions Trophy 2017, Bhuvneshwar Kumar also talked about Jasprit Bumrah’s no-ball. Along with this, he also talked about not winning the ICC tournament since 2013.

Batting first, Fakar Zaman scored a century, Azhar Ali and Mohammad Hafeez scored a half-century. As a result, Pakistan’s team scored 338 runs for 4 wickets. In response, India’s entire team collapsed for 158 runs. Faker Zaman’s brilliant innings snatched both this match and the trophy from India.

In the third over of this match, a no-ball from Jaspreet Bumrah gave life to Fakhar Zaman. India had to pay a big price for it. Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar told ESPNcricinfo, “A no-ball from Bumrah changed everything in the final of the 2017 Champions Trophy. In the Champions Trophy, Pakistan beat us badly in a one-sided match.

Why did the Indian team see a drought of trophies and runs since winning the last ICC title in 2013? To this, Bhuvneshwar said, “Team India was on top at that time, but luck was not supporting us and we were getting out in the knock out.”

He said, “We last won the Champions Trophy in 2013. Since then there have been 3-4 ICC tournaments. In 2-3 of these, we made it to the semi-finals or finals. We lost the semi-finals to Australia in the 2015 World Cup. In the 2019 World Cup, our top three batsmen got out cheaply and we had to pay the price. This was our misfortune. ”

Bhuvneshwar Kumar said, “It is very rare that you dismiss the opposition team at 250 and still lose.” He said, “Rohit Sharma scored five centuries in that World Cup. KL Rahul was in good form. Virat Kohli played as usual. Dhoni was also in the team. Despite the loss in the knockout match, it is true that we played very well throughout the tournament.
